A CelebrateMe page is a collaborative tool to enhance your life celbration. Once alaVida initiates the CelebrateMe page with essential event details, a page administrator (Qeepr) can: – Manage invitations / RSVPs – Share event details on major social platforms – Manage photos / videos shared by others – Receive messages and / or sympathies – Manage a person’s profile
alaVida believes every life story is worth telling and celebrating. Through our CelebrateMe page, we invite event clients to create a memorial space that not only helps organize event details but inspires family and friends to collaboratively build the life story of someone they love with photos, notes, videos and more. Don’t let your loved one vanish without a loving tribute that lasts a lifetime.
As a page administrator (Qeepr), you have total control of the page. CelebrateMe pages can be public or private. Want to share your event with family only? You can do that. Want a public event but private images? You can do that as well. Learn more about Privacy Settings.
Once alaVida creates the CelebrateMe page for you, you will receive an email invitation to sign up and become the page administrator (Qeepr). Once signed up, you will be able to edit the page. Only administrators can edit a CelebrateMe page.
You can manage your event(s) and the person’s profile. Manage event: – send invitations – manage guest list – receive messages / sympathies – control photos / videos posted to page – send / receive messages
Manage profile: – add personal information – create family tree – add mementos (photos / videos) – share profile on major social platforms
A page administrator (Qeepr) can add photos to the page by clicking the Memento icon Click the link “+ Add & Edit Mementos” Drag & Drop your files or press “Add Files to Browse” Click Upload Tip: You can upload up to 10 photos at a time, and have different privacy settings for each!
A page administrator (Qeepr) can upload videos to the page. Upload the video to YouTube, Vimeo and copy the video’s URL Navigate to the Memento section of the page Click the link “+Add & Edit Mementos” Click the “Video” tab and paste the URL
When you visit a page, click “Share a Memory or Send a Condolence”. You have the option of sending a message as a: Guest: simply leave your name and email address. You can also attach a photo or paste a video URL. Facebook user – Click on the Facebook icon to leave a message. It will not be posted to your Facebook account.
alaVida users can contact each other within the alaVida network privately. Use the top search bar to find the user you wish to contact Click on the Message icon on their profile Write your message and hit send Tip: You can easily access your message inbox by clicking on the envelope icon on the top menu bar
Only a page administrator (Qeepr) can decide whether an event is public or private. Login to the page Click the link “Edit Event” Scroll down to Privacy section If an event is set to private, it will be password-protected. The password will be emailed to guests when the page administrator (Qeepr) sends event invitations by email through the RSVP section.

To customize the background header image for the event: Log into the page Click the Event icon Click the link Edit Event Scroll down to the section Edit Event Theme Choose among the default themes or add a customized one by pressing on the Custom tab. Tip: For best results, use an image with dimensions 1024X768 and higher.
Allow family and friends to make donations in honour of your loved one. Log into the page Click the “Profile” icon Click “Edit Profile” and scroll down to the “Memorial” section Under the Memorial heading, you can add the foundation or charity name and copy and paste the link for visitors to access
Allow family and friends to contribute financially to the event. Log into the page Click the “Profile” icon Click “Edit Profile” and scroll down to the “Memorial” section Under the Memorial heading, copy and paste the link for a funding website ( for example GoFundMe)
The profile section allows the page administrator (Qeepr) to add personal information such as the person’s home town, last cities of residence, occupational and academic history, important milestones, religious views, interests, and family tree. This information is optional and can be public or private.
Only a page administrator (Qeepr) can change the profile’s privacy settings. Login to the page Click “Edit Profile” Select “Settings” tab Under “Who can see this profile” use the drop down to select the desired privacy setting:
Public: anyone visiting the alaVida website Relations: only people you have added as a “Relation” Network: only alaVida users Family: only page administrators in your Family Tree Myself: only you
Login to the page Navigate to the “Family” icon on the page Under each family member click the “+” symbol to add a family member. Fill out their information and remember to tick off whether they are deceased or not. If you are adding someone who is on the alaVida network, they must accept your request to add them to your family tree. If you are adding a someone who is not on the alaVida network, an email invitation will be sent to them. Tip: Family members do not need to be on the alaVida network to be added to your tree. If you add a deceased person to your family tree, an online profile will instantly be created for them!
A Relation is a connection with someone that is on the alaVida network. Adding a Relation to a relative or a friend allows you to: -Add them to your Family Tree -Add them as a page administrator (Qeepr) -Follow their activity Note: Friends and acquaintances need to accept the Relation request. Tip: In the privacy settings, you can select the Relations option so that only people that have a relation with you can view the CelebrateMe page
An alaVida user can add Relations to anyone with a profile on alaVida To add a relation, login to your page Click the Relation icon Type the person’s name in the Search box Navigate to the person’s profile Click “Add Relation” A request by email will be sent to the person and you will be notified once they accept Tip: You can automatically add a person to a Family Tree during the Add a Relation process by checking off ‘Is Name a Family Member?
To customize a background header image for the profile: Login to the page Click the “Profile” icon Click “Edit Profile” Navigate to Theme Choose one of our standard themes or upload your own image Tip: For best results, use an image with dimensions 1024X768 and higher
Icons are a simple way to personalize any profile on alaVida Login to the page Click the “Profile” icon Click “Edit Profile” Navigate to Theme Scroll to the bottom and select the icon you wish to display
Instructions for page administrators: Login to the page Click “Qeepr” icon Click “+ Add Qeepr” If the person is not yet an alaVida user, click “Send Email Invitation”. If the person already has an account on alaVida, assign them as an administrator by selecting them from the drop down menu. To assign another alaVida user as administrator of a CelebrateMe page, you must first Add a Relation to them.
